The Alameda JATC ‘Net Zero – Energy’ Apprentice Training Center is taking sustainability to an
exceptional level. Using an innovative design process, inspired delivery team, and the latest technology this
facility is targeting unprecedented energy use reduction. The 1980′s office building shell presents the traditional
challenges of an energy efficiency retrofit, but balanced with it’s exceptional access to and utilization of
solar, wind, and other natural resources, promises to raise the bar for Existing Building energy performance with Net Zero as the goal.
